Relatively new to photography having only taken it up in December 2010, but since starting i’ve become a complete fanatic – almost obsessed.
During this time i have tried various different genres but have now pretty much settled on landscape and seascape as being my real passion. Although saying this i have recently been introduced into the crazy world of infrared and have converted a Canon 6D. It’s pretty insane and im enjoying ever minute of it!
I’m pretty much self taught, having spent a considerable amount of time reading, researching the internet, watching dvds etc all with the purpose of pushing my learning and increasing my enjoyment. I have been lucky enough to attend a number of workshops, meeting likeminded people, and visiting some of the most amazing locations our incredible planet has to offer. Its addictive for sure and i’m quite happy to say i’m an addict with little hope of ever shaking it off……
I also belong to a camera club at ‘Dartford District Photographic Society’ DDPS which i thoroughly enjoy! The camaraderie is excellent with the competitions creating a good competitive spirit and certainly something i would recommend if starting out or wishing to meet other addicts!!
I also decided to take my LRPS distinction (Licentiateship Royal Photographic Society) and passed first time! To say i was surprised is an understatement with my focus now on putting together a panel for my ARPS distinction (Associateship Royal Photographic Society)
I have a great bunch of fellow togs and get together as much as our wives allow! Always happy to meet or chat with likeminded people so please get in contact if you’d like to arrange something……
As for equipment i mostly use the following –
